Madam Xu Jinghu Director-General of African Department of MFA visited South Africa

Madam Xu Jinghu ,Director-General of African Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and Secretary-General of the Chinese Follow-up Action Committee of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) visited South Africa from 27th to 29th September,2006.

During her visit, Madam Xu had an in-depth consultative meeting with Ambassador Duarte, Deputy Director-General of the Department of the Foreign Affairs of South Africa on the political documents and agenda of the forthcoming FOCAC Beijing Summit. Ambassador Liu Guijin of China to South Africa , Mr.Wang Yingwu , Director of the office of the Chinese Follow-up Action Committee of FOCAC, Ambassador Ntshinga of South Africa to China and Mr. Mogotsi, Chief-Director of East and Central Asia of DFA also attended the meeting. Madam Xu also paid a courtesy call on Mr.Aziz Pahad, South African Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and exchanged views on FOCAC Beijing Summit, China-South Africa bilateral relations as well as some international issue of mutual concern.
