When a good opportunity comes your

way you must make full use of it, because it might not come your way again. The Chinese loan that is going to be used for the construction of Dutlwe road is more than welcome.

The terms and conditions for re-payments seem to be very favourable and tempting. I would encourage the authorities to take advantage of such opportunities and borrow some money that would complete the north to south main road or A1 road. The dual carriage from Rasesa must be continued as it is all the way to Jackalas No.1.

I know that the money for such projects is diverted to fight the HIV/AIDS scourge by our caring Government, but with such loans from China, the Government would save a lot of money when it acts now. The tollgates would need to be catered for so that they help maintain the road and even in generating more money. Lives could also be saved as some of us have lost friends and relatives on the A1 road.

Can you imagine if all cars that are on sale in Botswana are bought by next week, even all imported Japanese cars, where would they drive? Wouldn't this also help in tourism because right now when we talk of tourism we talk of Kasane. What about small villages like Jackalas No.1 and other small villages that have great potential in tourism? Eddie Mdluli Gaborone
